Recognising the immense potential of the Indian aviation sector and the growing demand for technically skilled manpower, the vision behind Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE), Pune was established with a clear objective—to provide aspiring aviation professionals with quality education, industry-oriented training, and practical exposure in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

The foundation of this vision was laid by Dr. F. S. Giri, Founder Director, whose entrepreneurial journey and practical understanding of life shaped his belief that true education extends beyond academic grades and qualifications. His philosophy emphasises that knowledge, practical exposure, professional skills, and real-world experience play a vital role in shaping successful individuals.

Through interactions and discussions with senior aviation professionals and experienced industry experts, the need for a dedicated institution offering quality aviation education and practical training became increasingly evident. This vision took shape with the establishment of Empire Education Society Trust in 2008, followed by the establishment of Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering in 2010.

IIAE Pune was established with the objective of providing aspiring aviation professionals with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical training in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. The institute focuses on developing technically competent, disciplined, and industry-ready professionals who can contribute effectively to the rapidly evolving aviation sector.
